Chapter 1
"The Night Weiss Crossed"
The darkness surrounded her, consuming her, engulfing her; she had nowhere to run. Her breath was getting shorter, her eyesight was fading out, sweat was running down her face but she couldn't allow herself to stop running; she had to escape them. They were getting closer; she could hear their voices gaining on her. She ran into the nearest alleyway, thinking that they wouldn't follow her she was wrong. They followed her right into the alley; she took cover behind a grubby big dumpster and held her breath.
"Come out, come out, wherever you are," one of the male members called out, mirth evident in his tone. He was looking around for her and noticed a blue scarf behind the dumpster. A smug smile grew upon his face, as he began to take small steps towards the dirty looking rubbish bin.
"There's no point in hiding, I can see you, we won't hurt you!" he cajoled, "promise," the smug smile turned into a sneer as he stood beside the dumpster, "Come out darlin... I can smell your scented perfume," The guy was twisted, he'd do anything to get what he wanted, even if it meant going to extremes and using force.
The torn up girl put her arms over her head, trying to block them out, but to no avail. Being delirious, she started to think it was a nightmare, but she was very wrong. She could hear his footsteps coming closer. All of a sudden she felt his hand grabbing her hair and pulling her out from her hiding place. He pushed her violently against the wall, smacking her head into it, sending her world spinning before her eyes. He smelled her hair and started playing with her top, unbuttoning it, while his gang members stood guard at the end of the alley.
"Don't worry honey, this will be over soon," the man whispered into her ear, then chuckled, his intentions evident. She tried to push away, as he began to caress her neck, but was completely out of energy. She couldn't even put up a decent fight, let alone anything else.
"Please! Please! Stop! I haven't done anything to you," the girl managed to say in a choked whisper, as his lips continued to play with the soft flesh of her neck. Being weak, she was unable to stop his hands from exploring her, running along her body and traveling upwards. Their expedition was interrupted by her bra, and so he changed tactics, pulling her away from the wall and holding her close. He continued to grope her soft body, his head hanging low upon her shoulder, as one hand fondled her chest and the other moved south. Hot tears trickled down her face, as she was unable to fight against the horrors he was putting her through, then suddenly his pace changed. He man-handled her, pulling her to the cold, hard ground of the alley and started to tear her clothes apart, bit by bit.
"Please stop!" her plea was helpless, barely audible. No one could hear her and no one would help her.
"Hey boss," one of the gang members shouted out, "there's someone coming!" The leader of the gang stopped upon hearing this and then lightened his force. He grabbed the poor girl close and placed his lips near her ear.
"You had it lucky girl, normally someone doesn't survive the night," he whispered. He ran his hand along her neck and left her, left her there to suffer on her own in the cold night. He stood over her and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. He stood there staring at her and then turned around, his long grey trench coat flowing out behind him as he made his exit.
Once he was out of sight, the girl pushed herself up into a sitting position, gasping for breath. She was left trembling in the aftermath; the cause, a mix of the violation and the cold that bit into her skin, tearing it apart, slowly, just like the twisted man had done to her. She could hear their voices fading in the distance, her vision was a quest for her; she couldn't make a thing out that was in front of her. All she knew was that they had disappeared and had left her there like a discarded toy.
"What have I done wrong?" the torn up girl asked herself, as tears started flowing from her eyes, "That's the thing... I haven't done anything," she could feel the darkness swarming about her, she could see her vision fading out from the outside, she could feel herself falling asleep. Unable to stay up, she felt herself fall to the ground before her. She lay there, in the bitter cold, waiting for someone to save her.
Moments later a mysterious young man appeared; he was dressed in a white polo neck with a red cross on it and black trousers. His short brown hair flowed with the winds direction. The young lad stood over her and knelt down to see if she was okay, despite the story her appearance seemed to tell.
"Hey, are you ok?" His soft voice called out to her, but she was too fazed out to even respond, "Can you tell me your name?" He went to touch her face, to move her hair out of the way. His soft voice called to her again, "Here let me help you" he picked her up and held her close to him, "everything will be okay, you hear me?"
"Aya, she was abused, what did you expect me to do?! Just leave her there?!" Ken was furious at the remark that Aya had given him; his hot temper always got the worse of him at times like this. Ken turned his attention to the girl who lay upon the bed, then turned to face Aya again,
"Honestly, do you not have any type of feelings what-so-ever?" he gestured to the girl, "Look at the state she's in! Can you imagine just how many other girls are being abused because of this gang attacking the streets," He walked up and stood beside the bed, his fingers lightly touching her face, "I could hear her for some strange reason, I felt as if she was calling me," the words were soft, spoken as though he wasn't aware of them.
"Ken, we don't even know who she is" Aya said with a cause of concern. He went and stood near the window in the room and took a look outside, "Can we even trust who she is? I mean she could be working for Schwartz"
The older man didn't even bother to turn around and face his young comrade-at-arms; he continued looking into the outside space that was surrounded by the rays of the sun.
"Aya! What's happening, I just got told what happened by Manx and Youji and I got here as soon as possible," A young, grey-haired boy walked into the room, followed by a tall, silent man with short blonde hair. All of them stood together in a huddle in the middle of the room discussing the event that took place. They never thought about what actually took place, they were only analyzing the situation on second-hand sources.
Ken turned his back on them, he couldn't be bothered hearing the argument this time, all he knew was that she was hurt and he wanted to get those who did it. The hot tempered man stood before the bed, observing her sleeping form. The young girl stirred and came awake, her eyes slowly opening. She tried to survey herself and her surroundings, but due to the extent of her injuries she couldn't make out very much.
She was dimly aware of voices murmuring in the background... male voices. Suddenly, the events of the night crashed into her with full force and she began to shake uncontrollably. The horrific scenes flashed before her eyes, and she could still feel that black darkness surrounding her. She began to relive the pain she had been through, the sensation of the man's weight bearing down upon her, the things he had done to her; she was left scarred.
"Get away from me!" she cried, sitting up suddenly, startling the four men. Her body was still weak, and ached with what she had been through. She struggled to get out of the bed, only to feel hands upon her shoulders urging her back down,
"Stop it, let me go, I don't want to be your victim again," The young lady broke down in tears as arms wrapped around her in an effort to console her,
"Please! leave me alone," she sobbed, as tears streamed down her delicate face. She rocked back and forth within this mans embrace, unable to get over the fact that she had just been abused by some unknown person. She always thought that the streets were safe, but now she might be afraid to go out alone again.
Finally the wounded girl calmed herself, her head resting upon her holder's firm chest, the soft beating of his heart comforting her. She felt so safe in his arms, so secure. She didn't want to leave his warm and gentle embrace; she wanted to stay there forever... but she couldn't, she had to know who her savior was and so she slowly raised her face to look upon the person holding her. She was taken aback by the pain in his eyes, as if he couldn't help but empathies with her. He struck her, all her insecurity vanished, any type of blackness remained in her had disappeared for that split second as they looked at each other.
"So, what's your name?" The tall, redhead approached her as she looked up at the new voice. The bruises were killing her; she wouldn't dare to move much because they hurt so much.
"My name?" the young lass echoed, as she took time to recall it among the recent events, and shock and confusion,
"My name is Laney. Laney Toshiki." She put her hand to her head, easing the dull ache that arose from the recollection.
"Did you just say you name is Laney Toshiki?" The young grey-haired boy asked, as he came up to her, "Are you saying that you are THE Laney Toshiki?" shock marked his young features, as he stood in front of her. His eyes widened, as he observed her properly.
"Yes, I am La-" Omi cut her off, still in his shock he wanted to know something that was intriguing him.
"You are telling us that you are "Miss Laney Katsuya Kaley Toshiki of the Weiss Kreuz Association," The young lads all stood in shock, their jaws dropped. Ken got up from the bed and stood alongside Aya. The Weiss boys stood staring at her; they did not know what they had got themselves into. They didn't know if what they had done was right or wrong. Saving one of their own that they didn't know was completely different then assassinating someone they didn't know.
"Please don't say my full name; you make me sound old!" Laney just sat there staring at their reaction. She didn't even know if she had done the right thing or not.
“Oh well! May as well let the future decide now," Laney thought to herself sighing as she did so.

"The Night Weiss Crossed"
‘The Day Weiss Crossed’
The soft touch of warm water trickles down her chest, goose bumps formed all around her body. Laney let of a slight moan because of the discomfort of the water dripping down her body. Sweat appeared around her forehead; subconsciously she lifted her heavy arm and wiped it away. Her deep brown eyes gradually opened, sunlight seeped in, she grabbed the side of her bed trying to get up, but she just fell back down again. Her hands heaved towards her face trying to block out the memories of last night.
The pain of last night was still in her head, the scratching of his hands all over her body, the grasp which he had all over her, the dark suffocation which she suffered, how could she forget it all? The memories were stuck in her head, swimming around in a loop. Her hands held on tightly to her head, attempting to block out all the memories but there was no luck. Laney screamed, she tried to move, but she could not; she tried to open her eyes, but they would not; she wanted to call for help, but who was there to help her? Her pale body tossed from one side of the bed to the other, almost as if she was fighting him again, her mind was playing tricks with her. Her body could feel everything again, she could see him again, she could hear him again, his touch, his scent, the roughness of his attack. Her chest tightened, she tried to gasp for air but chocked on it. Surrounded by darkness, surrounded by his stench seeping into her skin, she was fighting the feeling of being touched again.
"Laney!" A masculine voice shouted out to her, her eyes bolted open and there sitting in front of her was Ken. His brown eyes gazing right at her, Laney threw her arms around him and held him tightly. Ken gently put his arm around her and comforted her as she cried her nightmare out of her head.
"So, what's going on here," said a rather perverted voice appearing from the entrance of the room. "All the hugging, the comforting, any kissing" Yohji rested against the doorframe and folded his arms.
"Yohji! This is not the place to say things like that," Ken turned around and said with an angry tone.
"Whoa, easy tiger!" Yohji smiled.
"Yohji" Laney said in a small voice "Whatever you dream about, does it affect your mind or does it make you stronger?"
"Laney" Yohji approached her and sat next to her, he put his arm around her and said, "It affects me all the time but look at me now, does it look like it does?"
Laney broke away from Ken and looked at Yohji. The concern that was on his face was clear but he was right, it did not look one bit like his dreams were affecting him.
"Well, I best be off and leave you two love birds to it... Flowers won't grow alone, they need a little bit of attention," he chuckled and walked out of the bedroom.
Laney rested her head on Ken's chest; she could hear the sound of his heart beat racing. She took a deep breath in and exhaled, she closed her eyes while she was being comforted by his body.
"You feel better now?" Ken whispered in her ear, the tone of his voice made her melt, her breathing became heavier, her heart started to race and sweat formed upon her forehead. She held him tighter, she did not want to let go of him, and she wanted to stay there, in his arms forever. The thought ripping through her heart, for she knew she could not. She tore away from him and got off the bed. She took the towel that he had left for her and headed towards the bathroom. She did not say a word; she did not want to say anything. The fact was that she had fallen for a member of Weiss and that was prohibited.
"Laney, I will wait for you downstairs, I will have breakfast ready," Ken said as he left the room. His scent lingered in the room for a few seconds after he left. Laney stood there, no motion, just wanting to be held by him again. She finally broke out of the illusion and went in to the bathroom.
The hot water trickled over her body, she stood under the shower with her head down looking at the water go down the drain. Light tears began to fall from her eyes.
"Crying again?" Laney thought to herself. "You are stronger than that, don't be stupid. You have been in worst situations than this. You got to keep going"
That thought trailed in her head for a while and she was all right. She clenched her right hand and slammed it against the wall.
"I can't stay like this," her fist could feel the coldness of the tiles as she pressed harder in to it.
"Breathe in... Breathe out..." She closed her eyes and let the water run around her face; she turned the shower off and drew back the curtain. She reached for her towel and wrapped it around her slender body, she still had that sensation of having Ken wrapping his arms around her body, kissing her neck delicately, running his hands around her waist. She knew how much she wanted him but it would never happen. As Laney came out the bathroom, she saw Aya standing next to the window.
"Aya? Or should I call you Ran?" Laney said calmly as she headed towards the clothes Ken had left for her. "What brings you here?"
"What do you know about us?" Aya said in his stone cold voice. He turned around and faced Laney who was still rummaging through the clothes on the bed.
"Now! That is a strange question; I know more than you would like me too know!" Laney smirked back at Aya.
"Don't play games with me Laney, I want to know," Aya was getting a tad bit more angry. Laney could tell this by his hands starting to clench together. It was obvious that he wanted answers but she was not going to give them, well that is what she thought.
"I want to know, where did you come from and how do you know Weiss?" Aya was in interrogation mode, with each word he was stepping closer to Laney.
"Now, that is no way to treat someone who owns Weiss." Said a young lady who was standing by the door. She was dressed in a red business suite, with shades covering her eyes. Her hairstyle complemented her outfit making her look more formal.
"Manx, what brings you here?" Laney said as she held one of Ken's t-shirts in front of her. Manx walked in and shut the door. She took a good stare down at Aya and Aya only responded with the cold looks he gives back.
"I brought you your clothes, I heard that you stumbled across these four sexy boys," she winked at Laney and approached Aya.
"Now, how about we leave her and let her get some clothes on before she gets a cold, what do you think? Aya." Manx raised one of her brows and directed Aya out of the room.
"Ok girl, you go get your business suite on and we will wait downstairs," Manx waved and edged Aya out of the room and closed the bedroom door.
"Thanks Manx," Laney whispered and sighed. She opened the bag, which had her clothes in it. She pulled out her outfit, which consisted of a navy blue short pencil skirt, a black v-neck top and a blazer.
"Looks like you got the whole score in here Manx," Laney laughed. Manx had packed everything Laney needed including hair products to shoes. Laney got herself ready and looked in the mirror.
"Smart as always, now they will recognize me," she smiled in the mirror and went to go and meet her boys.
"Honestly, you guys should really relax around her, its not like she is going to bite," Manx shot a look at Aya but he just turned his head as normal.
"Those legs!" Yohji said in a startled voice.
"They belong to me," Laney sounded more confident and more business like. Her smile was more like a smirk, she had her attitude back, and nothing could bring her down now.
"Laney! Wow! You look so different," Omi was astounded from how he saw her first and seeing her now.
"Ken, are you ok?" Omi could not help but see his face, it was as if his jaw had dropped and was in a state of shock.
"Well, well, what can we say," Yohji said after letting off a quiet whistle.
"Weiss,” Laney's tone changed, it became more serious. The boys turned towards the sofa and gave their attention to the young lady.
"Your mission tonight," Laney inhaled and exhaled. "Is to catch these three men, they are serial rapist and are after any girl or woman possible. They first use a drug to make the victims delusional and then rape them, this is the main guy you are after, Yuuji Bennata,” She showed them a photo of the rapist and the group.
"Hunters of the night, deny those dark beasts their tomorrow."
After hearing their mission, the boys took off to get their gear. Laney collapsed to the ground to her knees, her head was facing the floor, tears started to fall yet again, it was obvious that she was finding it very hard to cope as she was one of the victims herself.
"Laney?" Manx put her arms around her as comfort "Don't worry, they will get them," Manx sat next to Laney and comforted her as she cried.
"I hope they get them, because when they do, they will have me to deal with," an evil glint appeared in Laney's eyes. She stood up and started to walk towards the door. Her head up high and more confident than ever.
The Weiss boys stood in front of her. She looked in each of their eyes and said.
"When you find them, don't kill them. That is my job. Now go!" They boys set off and Laney watched them go.
"Kill them?" Manx questioned the young lass.
"Yes and like I said, it will be my job," Laney walked out of the flower shop without looking back. She clenched her fist.
"Before I kill them, I will make them cry, begging for my forgiveness, just as they made to me cry, begging them to stop. That is a promise."
